Tomβs Watch Bar has opened its second Los Angeles location in Inglewood.
Brooks Schaden and Shannon McNiel, co-CEOs of the national sports restaurant group, were already thinking about opening a new Los Angeles location when a contact reached out with an opportunity.
After Chartres Lodging took over the Lum Hotel in Inglewood last year, the group has been looking to fill the space left by a multistory bar-restaurant at the hotel, Cork & Batter. The hotel shares a block with Intuit Dome, down the street from SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater.
When Tomβs Watch Bar was given the chance to move into Cork & Batterβs place at 3900 W. Century Blvd., Schaden said the opportunity was too good to pass up.
βWhat we’ve often found with our brand is that being near sports events or arenas draws a great awareness,β Schaden told L.A. Business First. βYou get sports fans on the way to the games or even concerts, and it’s a really targeted way to approach our fans.β
Tomβs opened its initial location in downtown Los Angeles in 2014 and kept its footprint small before ramping up operations in 2018. In the last year, the group has opened more than five locations and hosted more than 600 watch parties nationwide.
